GRAND PRIX WINNERS was this year’s children's holiday club (for 5-11 years) organised by
Upton Methodist Church which ran every morning from Monday 26th to
Friday 30th July from 10 am till 12 noon. It was a week packed full
of activities, music, fun and games.
Grand Prix' actually means
'Big Prize' and the biggest prize of all is to have a living relationship
with God. Each day of the club we heard about different people from
the Bible who did just this and how we can get to know God in different
ways, as:
 |
Friend |
 |
Guide |
 |
Boss |
 |
Servant |
 |
Mender |
All of this happened, of
course in a Grand Prix race setting! Last year's Seaside
Rock club proved hugely popular and Grand
Prix Winners was even better supported with over 90
children there most days.
Some of the daily highlights were:
 |
A range of cool craft activities with a
racing theme |
 |
A short DVD each day |
 |
Scrummy racing biscuits (they
didn't hang around for long!) |
 |
The Memory Quiz |
 | Funky action songs |
 |
Sooty and Sweep (and friends)! |
 |
The Messy Bit - the all-new
messy game that several brave people entered! |
